The Need
TSATSOS GEORIOS “COSMETIC” company, a leading Private Label cosmetics manufacturer, was looking for a comprehensive and flexible automatic labelling and coding solution of its products
In particular, due to the production activity of private label products, the company sought to strengthen its competitiveness in such a way that it is able to undertake and carry out fast and at the lowest possible cost, high-demand partnerships with many different packaging formats.
The project was quite challenging in that, on one hand there was a need for automatic lateral labelling on up to two antisymmetric sides of oval and parallel containers and on the other hand for wrap-around labellling in cylindrical and conical bottles at a rate of up to 45 pieces / min. All with one machine able to handle different containers and in a wide range of sizes (from a few ml up to 2lt). Moreover, online printing of dynamic information (lot number, expiration date) on the label during labelling was also a requirement.
The Solution
Responding to this need we designed and implemented a complete and innovative labelling system with two variable speed labelling heads with printing up to 240mm height and a Thermal Transfer Overprint coder. The system achieved increased productivity, reduced costs and fully meets the customer’s needs for flexibility in coding and packaging.
